DRONE ROBOTICS | SENIOR DEVELOPER

WHO WE ARE

ProDrone is a tech start-up that is revolutionizing how assets are inspected worldwide by developing autonomous UAV inspection solutions. In fact, we are one of the front runners of the wind blade inspection industry, having inspected over 8500 blades in 8 countries, and growing.

We have developed a system that when attached onto an off-the-shelf drone, enables it to fly and collect data autonomously. This data is then uploaded to and processed on our cloud platform BladeInsight, where we use Image Processing and Machine Learning to help our clients know exactly what is wrong with their wind blades and how to best manage them.

As an early employee, you will be directly involved in a variety of exciting and innovative projects, providing you handson experience working in an ever-challenging and rewarding environment. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Developing control algorithms for autonomous UAV inspections using state-of-art hardware and software
  • Designing the core architecture of the solution - communicate your designs, analysis, and engineering intent with the rest of the engineering team and partners
  • Designing Mapping, Localization and SLAM algorithms for real-time navigation in an unknown environment
  • Enhancing present navigation methods for robust and efficient performance, by leveraging the onboard sensors
  • Developing software- and hardware-in-the-loop simulations for testing the control code before performing actual flights, validating and improving further the system as a whole
  • Creating a solution with a strong focus on cybersecurity and data protection
  • Owning Product Management, including feature design, user experience and road-mapping
  • Keep learning: learn new technologies and don’t be afraid of trying something new

WHICH SKILLS YOU’LL BRING

  • C++, at least 4 years experience
  • Python, at least 4 years experience
  • Linux-based development, at least 4 years experience
  • Strong command of linear algebra
  • Knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS) and Gazebo
  • Knowledge of Point Cloud Library
  • Passionate about writing well-structured, efficient and maintainable code, actively keeping the quality of the code base in check
  • Comfortable working in an English-speaking & fast-paced environment
  • Continuous use of development best practices and version control systems

ENGINEERING | DATA SCIENTIST

WHO WE ARE

At ProDrone, our mission is to empower decision-makers in the renewable energy sector with cost-effective and reliable solutions for the collection and analysis of high-quality data through advanced robotics and AI-powered analytics, moving beyond inspections to continuous and comprehensive asset management.

We have developed a solution for the inspection of wind turbine blades using autonomous drones and state-of-the art sensors. Thanks to this solution, we have collected over 40TB of data from over 7500 blades in 11 countries. This data is processed on our cloud platform BladeInsight, where we use Image Processing and Machine Learning to help our clients know the status of their wind blades and how to best manage them.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Designing state of the art algorithms to detect and categorise features found on wind turbine blades
  • Optimising our large database of blade images to improve your algorithms results
  • Extracting insights from our large database to help clients optimise their windfarm operations
  • Working together with the Web Development team to see your work integrated on our platform
  • Assisting in Product Management with road-mapping and feature delivery
  • Keep learning: learn new technologies and don’t be afraid of trying something new

WHICH SKILLS YOU’LL BRING

  • Python, at least 1 year experience
  • OpenCV (or similar), at least 1 year experience
  • TensorFlow, at least 1 year experience
  • AWS, previous experience would be a plus
